Top 5 Photo and Video Apps on iOS in Europe, Q2 2021

The second quarter of 2021 saw notable performances from the top Photo and Video apps on the iOS platform in Europe. According to Sensor Tower data, these apps demonstrated diverse trends in weekly downloads, revenue, and active users.

YouTube: Watch, Listen, Stream maintained a strong presence with its weekly revenue peaking at approximately $3M by the end of June. Weekly downloads fluctuated, reaching a high of 664K at the start of April, while active users remained robust, starting at around 187M and seeing a slight decline to 184M by the end of the quarter.

Twitch: Live Streaming experienced a downward trend in both downloads and active users. Weekly downloads decreased from 195K to 138K, while active users saw a reduction from 2.5M to 2.3M. Revenue peaked early in April at $742K and gradually declined to $578K by the end of June.

FaceApp: Perfect Face Editor showed an upward trend in revenue, reaching $416K in the last week of June. Weekly downloads started at 136K, peaking at 225K in mid-April before declining to 94K by the end of the quarter. Active users began at 973K, with a slight decrease to 880K.

Facetune AI Photo/Video Editor from Lightricks Ltd. saw a steady increase in revenue, reaching $364K by the end of June. Downloads ranged from 75K to a high of 99K, while active users fluctuated around 800K, ending the quarter at 828K.

Splice - Video Editor & Maker showed consistent weekly revenue, peaking at $224K in late May. Downloads saw a declining trend, starting at 93K and ending at 66K. Active users also experienced a slight decrease throughout the quarter, starting at 419K and ending at 362K.
